Shipping & Return Policies

SHIPPING POLICIES

Website shipping calculations occasionally do not add up correctly due to package sizes and combinations of the product(s) ordered. If the amount quoted online seems to be incorrect, please email us at office@michaeltrapp.com for confirmation. We will email you with your options and the confirmed final shipping cost(s). 

For items that are larger or heavier than permitted by standard UPS, USPS, DHL and FedEx carriage, Michael Trapp, Inc. will obtain a shipping quote from the freight shipping company that best suits the delivery. For all fragile and oversized/overweight items, Michael Trapp, Inc. charges an additional handling fee for the preparation of these shipments. All shipping and handling charges will be paid directly to Michael Trapp, Inc before dispatching the item(s).  

If you wish to use your own shipper, a handling fee for the preparation of the items will be added to your invoice. After payment, please email office@michaeltrapp.com to make an appointment for pick up at least 3 business days in advance. Our warehouse is open by appointment only and is offsite.  

Please inspect your shipment, immediately upon receipt. All damaged packages must be documented with the carrier (FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, etc.). Please do not open a damaged package without taking pictures & contacting the carrier first. Failure to document any claimable damage may void carrier insurance. For specific claim requirements please visit the carriers' website. "Porch theft", "Failed Deliveries" & "Courier Incorrect Address Deliveries" are not claimable.   

RETURN POLICIES
  • If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we’re here to help! We offer returns within 30 days of purchase.
  • You can return your product for store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method.
  • To initiate a return, please contact the office at (860) 672-6098 or email office@michaeltrapp.com for a return authorization number.
  • Refunds can take 10 to 14 business days from the receipt of your return to be reflected on your original form of payment.
  • You, the purchaser, shall be responsible for all shipping charges including the return shipping, with full value insurance.
  • 12% to 20% restocking fees may be deducted from your refund/credit.
  • Please note the following exceptions to our return and refund policy:
    • Custom and Special-Order items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
    • Returned items must have all labels and tags still on and be returned in original condition.
PLEASE NOTE: As with all antiques and vintage merchandise, the items are sold in "as-is" and "as-found" condition. Condition details are for descriptive purposes only and Michael Trapp, Inc. is not responsible for errors and/or omissions.
